Oasis

This was a childhood pool my family would often visit in the summer. After years of not going, we came to the pool again. It had not been used by anyone for months and had ivy beginning to droop onto the water. I wanted to capture the intricacy of each bush and plant in the scene in front of me. This piece is made up of about 25 individually cut alcohol marker drawings, layered on top of each other to create one image. The pool is made up of layers of cellophane in order to create depth.
